Team Leader – Structural

• The Structure Team Leader is responsible for leading and managing the structural BIM team to deliver high-quality structural models, drawings, and coordinated project deliverables in accordance with project requirements, BIM standards, and construction schedules.
• The role involves supervising BIM production activities, ensuring multidisciplinary coordination, and supporting the Project Manager in achieving successful project delivery.
• The Structure Team Leader acts as the primary technical authority for structural BIM deliverables and ensures effective coordination with architectural, MEP, and construction teams throughout all project stages


Key Responsibilities:
 Team Leadership & Supervision:
• Lead and supervise the structural BIM team on assigned projects.
• Allocate tasks, monitor workload distribution, and ensure team productivity.
• Mentor and support structural engineers, BIM coordinators, and modelers.
• Ensure compliance with company BIM standards, structural workflows, and project procedures.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance to improve team performance.
• Participate in staff development, training, and onboarding initiatives.

 Structural BIM Production & Coordination:
• Manage the development and coordination of structural BIM models and construction documentation.
• Ensure structural models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with design intent and project requirements.
• Review structural BIM deliverables for quality, constructability, and compliance with LOD standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve clashes and technical conflicts.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project BIM protocols.
• Maintain proper model management, file organization, and data integrity.


 Project Delivery Support:
• Support the Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor progress of structural deliverables against project timelines and milestones.
• Identify project risks, coordination issues, and technical challenges proactively.
• Ensure timely submission of structural models, drawings, and documentation.
• Assist in preparing progress reports, technical presentations, and project updates.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders as required.

 Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance:
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures for structural BIM deliverables.
• Review structural drawings, reinforcement details, and BIM outputs prior to submission.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, local authority regulations, and company standards.
• Develop and improve BIM workflows, templates, and structural libraries.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the BIM studio.

 Technical Responsibilities:
• Oversee Lead structural model development across conceptual, detailed design, and construction stages.
• Ensure proper setup and maintenance of Revit structural models and work-sharing environments.
• Manage reinforcement detailing, steel detailing, and structural coordination workflows.
• Support model-based quantity take-offs and construction sequencing when required.
• Assist in resolving technical BIM and structural modeling issues.
• Support automation and digital engineering initiatives within the BIM department.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
A. Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/ Master’s in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
• Conversant with International Standards and Specifications for Construction/production.
B. Minimum Experience:
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of structural engineering experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within a BIM environment.
• Strong experience in large-scale & High rise, BIM and multidisciplinary projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of structural engineering standards, BIM workflows, and ISO 19650.
• Experience in reinforced concrete and steel structure detailing.
• Familiarity with GCC/UAE authority requirements and construction practices is an advantage.
