We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer with a strong background in the Aluminum and Steel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, ensuring budget compliance, and delivering accurate financial reports for large-scale industrial and construction projects.

Role Purpose

The Senior Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and controlling project costs in the steel/aluminum/facade industry. This role ensures that projects are executed within budget, providing accurate cost forecasts, reports, and recommendations to support commercial and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems, processes, and procedures for projects in steel, aluminum, and façade works.
Prepare detailed project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost plans based on project scope, contracts, and execution strategy.
Track project expenditures and commitments against budgets, ensuring timely reporting of variances.
Review subcontractor and supplier cost submissions, variations, and claims for accuracy and compliance.
Monitor procurement activities, material costs, and labor productivity to ensure alignment with financial targets.
Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify potential savings and efficiency improvements.
Support tendering and estimation teams with cost data, benchmarks, and historical analysis.
Coordinate with project managers, planners, and quantity surveyors to align cost data with project progress.
Prepare and present monthly cost reports, variance analysis, and recommendations to senior management.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, contract requirements, and industry standards.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior cost engineers and project team members.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 8–15 years of cost control experience, with at least 6 years in steel, aluminum, or façade industry projects.
Strong knowledge of cost control methods, earned value management (EVM), budgeting, and forecasting.
Proficiency in project control tools such as Primavera (P6), MS Excel (advanced), ERP systems, and cost management software.
Familiarity with project contracts, FIDIC, and construction cost management principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and reporting skills, able to interact effectively with project teams and senior stakeholders.
